Realschule (junior high school)
The classic way to intermediate maturity
We continue to understand our Zinzendorf junior high school as a traditional junior high school, which ends in grade 10 with the acquisition of the intermediate maturity. We accompany our students on this pathway with a wide range of offers and support measures.
In the orientation level of grades 5 and 6, we support the students with differentiated classes, with units for independently developing content and offer space for practical projects.
From grade 7 onwards, students choose from the elective subjects Technology or Everyday Life-Nutrition-Social Affairs.
There is a special focus at our school in grade 8 with the entry into professional orientation. On the basis of an individual competence analysis, every student already receives a variety of suggestions for career orientation, which are deepened through social and economic projects.
It is important for students to develop a concrete idea of their career aspirations. For this reason, we offer the subject of economics from grade 9 onwards in addition to our career fair, which is highly regarded throughout the area.
More than school!
We place special emphasis on musical, artistic and theater education offers as well as social projects. A useful range of extra-curricular events and school trips complements the education.
The individual path to the goal
The academic career at our school does not have to end with grades 9 and 10. It is possible to switch to vocational schools (specializing in business and economics or home economics and nutrition) starting in grade 9, or to the business and economics high school, the social science high school, or the educator training program starting in grade 10, in order to obtain a qualified educational degree according to the student’s current school situation.
