Gymnasium (G8) (eight-year high school pathway)

The direct pathway to graduation

The classic way to graduate is mostly through the eight-year high school.

English is introduced in grade 5 and French in grade 6.

From grade 8 you can choose from three study profiles::

  • Spanish (as a third foreign language) or
  • NWT (science and technology) or
  • Fine arts and design

In our eight-year high school, English is sometimes taught bilingually. We start with enhanced English classes in grades 5 and 6. In grade 7 geography, in grade 8 history and in grades 9 and 10 biology are partly taught in English.

A wide range of subjects is available in the upper school course level (senior high school)

A 14-day internship in the 10th grade offers the opportunity to explore later professional fields.

More than school!

We put special emphasis on musical, artistic and theater educational offers as well as social projects. Practice has shown that students at the Zinzendorf Schools get along well with the streamlined timetable after the introduction of the eight-year high school (G8). They have enough freedom to take advantage of the numerous offers of the school.

A useful range of extra-curricular events and school trips complements the lessons.

We maintain student exchanges with schools from France and Spain.

The concept of transferability

At our school, each student can follow his or her own individual path to their goal. Thus, there is the possibility to change to the nine-year high school (G9), to the vocational schools, the business high school and the social science high school or to the educator training in order to achieve a qualified educational degree according to the current school situation.
